The Hampden Historical Society had a beautiful day for their Annual Yard and Book Sale on June 14th this year.

 

We extend a hearty thank you to all of you who donated items to the yard sale. Without these treasures, we could not put on such a widely attended and profitable event. The Hampden Historical Society was able to realize $4,800 as a result of this effort. We had an outstanding number of volunteers who came and helped us set up tents, organize tables, bring out all our sale items and place them in their designated areas.  They also helped to organize the books and puzzles, and many spent the yard sale hours helping our customers. Many volunteers also helped to take down the tents and tables as well as packing up items to donate to the Orono-Old Town Kiwanis Club at the end of the sale.  We would like to thank the Hampden Garden Club and Hampden Recreation Department for their assistance and contributions along with Maine Savings. We would like to thank: Rick, Karen, Betty, Jane, Eric, Patsy, Jim, Martha, Jean, Joanie, Kathy, Storie, Vivian, Steve, Mary, Ed, Janice, Carol, Doug, Char, Logan, Will, Randy, Ellyn, Nancy, Jeff, Rod, Sandra, Valerie, Ethan, Drake, Brian, and Meredith.
