While sorting donations for our upcoming yard sale this June, we came across these charming little napkins and quickly decided they belonged in the Society’s collection rather than on the sale table. Interesting Bits from the Museum Kitchen
Jerry Stanhope and Nancy McAvoy showed us many fun finds from the museum including a butter press, a flour sifter, a portable writing desk, a recipe book from a time when the Society put on fundraising dinners, numerous apothecary items for skinned knees, chapped skin and upset tummies, a pie crimper and, surprise--a hoop to go under a skirt! Our Christmas Bazaar was a resounding success
With thanks to all who came to our Christmas Bazaar and shopped, we experienced a very successful day.
